Workplace Mental Health

Mental health

What does Workplace Mental Health have to do with You? Everything.

Your employees' mental health impacts absenteeism, morale, benefits use, and much more. It affects your workplace's productivity, culture and profits. That's why it's essential to address any psychological hazards in the workplace that can contribute to mental harm or injury.

Consider the following statistics.

  • In any given week approximately 500,000 Canadian workers will not go to work due to mental health issues.
  • Mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, account for 30% of short-term and long-term disability claims and 70% of disability costs.
  • Employers lose more than 6 billion dollars annually in lost productivity, absenteeism, presentism and turnover.
