Hiring & Managing Outside Contractors

Utilizing outside contractors is a reality for every business. Do you know your health and safety responsibilities as they relate to hiring outside contractors? It is important to ensure that contractors do not create unnecessary risks to themselves, to employees or to the public while performing their work.

This training will focus on the hiring and managing aspects, when a contractor is required to perform work within a facility. The focus of this course will be on the steps involved in hiring outside contractors from the pre-contract planning stage to awarding the contract. The program will then switch gears and highlight the process of managing on-site contractors, by ensuring the learner is made aware of different steps involved from the required roles and responsibilities of the parties involved, to conducting the exit interview to determine if there will be consideration for future re-hiring of the contractor.
