Dennis is a dynamic, results-driven safety professional with extensive experience in occupational health and safety (OHS) management and corporate OHS program development. With nearly three decades of senior-level experience, Dennis provides strategic leadership guidance to both public sector and private sector clients with expertise in workplace violence and harassment, compliance management, hazard assessment, incident investigation and OHS learning management.

I learned very early in my career there was a large gap in workplace OHS expectations from a legal, corporate and social perspective versus the level of knowledge, skills and engagement of employees and senior leadership. Helping to close that gap is the main reason I dedicated myself to OHS.

Dennis holds the Certified Health and Safety (CHSC) designation from Health and Safety Professionals Canada (HSPC), high-level certification that assures adherence to ethical behaviours and a commitment to continuous professional growth. Early in his career, he completed education in legal assistance and business management providing a sound understanding of health and safety regulations and their integration into key management practices. Dennis thrives on the diversity his role offers.

Each day potentially brings a new discussion or site visit to a workplace with new or unknown hazards/risks, allowing me to engage with a large variety clients to address many different types of workplace safety challenges.

One of his proudest achievements is developing a safe supervisor program that won the HSPC National Outstanding Achievement Award in 2013.
