Dale brings high levels of expertise and expectation to his role as a Specialized Consultant in confined spaces. He works with customers in Western Ontario to determine the state of their confined space programs and help them meet regulatory requirements. "This may involve an onsite confined space inventory, hazard assessments, entry and exit planning, rescue planning and training to 'close the loop' on developing and instituting a confined space program," he says.
He knows how critical this work is to keep workers safe in confined spaces. "I have spent over 30 years dealing with the outcome of not having a plan or a way to work safely. It is much easier to work with a customer to develop safe work practices than to help workers overcome the loss of a co-worker."
Dale has extensive confined space experience in mining, manufacturing and agriculture/food. "I have developed confined space programs at an iron mine in the high Arctic, and copper mines in Panama."
He is a Confined Space and Rope Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician and Certified Firefighter, Level II, under National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
