Ali Shakeel

With a strong foundation in science and a deep commitment to creating safer work environments, Ali applies his expertise to identify and reduce occupational exposure risks across Ontario’s diverse workplaces. His work is guided by technical precision and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others.

Ali holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Health and Safety and a Master of Public Health in Occupational and Environmental Health; his pursuit of knowledge is further reflected in his published research on respirable crystalline silica and elemental carbon exposures in the Annals of Work Exposures and Health for the British Occupational Hygiene Society.

A meaningful introduction to health and safety came early for Ali during a summer job, where he saw firsthand how safe work practices and protective equipment shapes better outcomes for workers. Supporting Ontario workplaces now means embracing their diversity; no two are alike, from small countertop manufacturing shops to sprawling energy plants. “Every workplace is different, but my goal is the same; protect people from chemical overexposures by ensuring compliance with legislation and help every worker get home safe at the end of the day,” Ali says.

Drawing on evidence-based solutions and a wealth of industry experience, Ali continues to advance best practices in occupational hygiene across every sector he serves.
