On November 4, 2025, grade 9 students from across Ontario will get their first glimpse into the world of work, visiting workplaces as part of national Take Our Kids to Work Day.
This career exploration event is a formative experience that helps shape a young worker's vision for the future. For employers, it's a unique opportunity to showcase their organization while helping shape young people's career aspirations and workplace expectations.
Because new and young workers are at an increased risk of injury, Workplace Safety & Prevention Services is encouraging businesses to include workplace safety on their Take Our Kids to Work Day agenda.
To make it easy, WSPS is offering a free 1-hour virtual Health & Safety Awareness Presentation (HSAP) on November 4, 2026.
Led by WSPS health and safety experts, sessions will be offered in:
Through interactive games, videos, and group discussions, students will learn:
- Common workplace hazards
- How to address health and safety concerns at work
- Their rights and responsibilities as workers
- The rights and responsibilities of employers
Suitable for all industries, this engaging one-hour session provides students with practical knowledge they'll use as they explore your workplace and enter the workforce in the years ahead.
All that is needed is an internet connection and a screen. We’ll take care of the rest.
