Emergency Preparedness
Review the emergency preparedness procedure/plan in the
event of an incident.
Make sure there is a person properly trained and certified in
first aid on the job site at all times.
Always have a means to access/contact help on the job site,
e.g. cell phone.
Review the rescue and retrieval plan/procedure to rescue a
person at any height in a safe and timely fashion.
ACTION!
Demonstrate the proper fit of the
fall arrest equipment to ensure the
fit is snug with little movement.
Have the crew check the fit by
pulling on the D-ring (the D-ring
should not slide up and down and
only two fingers should fit under
the D-ring).
