Be aware and recognize any skin problem due to over exposure to the sun Severe Weather (Snow, Ice, Tornadoes) Be aware of changing forecasted weather conditions daily before starting and during work. In the event of severe weather, work conditions should be evaluated, suspended if need be and resumed when weather conditions have stabilized. Refer to the Lightning safety topic for more information on working in storm conditions. Cold and Hot Weather (see Heat Stress and Cold Stress) Dress appropriately for the task and weather conditions. Be aware and recognize early signs of heat or cold stress. (Refer to Cold Stress and Heat Stress) ACTION! Take your crew on a walk about of the worksite to discuss potential environmental hazards.
