If skin contact occurs, verify appropriate action is taken such as:
– Wash away potential hazards, flush eyes and skin immediately
with water and seek medical attention by reading and being
familiar with the handling instructions on the product's safety
data sheet (SDS) and the manufacturers' recommendations
on concrete additives, acids for etching, form release oils, or
other chemicals used in conjunction with concrete.
Concrete Mixing
Make sure to follow mixing instructions on the material bag
or SDS.
Wear waterproof steel toed boots, waterproof gloves and
goggles when mixing concrete.
Concrete Forms
Store concrete forms in an orderly fashion and away from high
traffic pathways on site to avoid any trip hazards.
Use proper signs and barricades around all forms.
Remove steel/wooden forms as soon as the concrete has been
cured/set, and store properly.
Backfill to the edge of the concrete and level to grade as soon
as forms are removed to reduce slip, trip and fall hazards.
Clean-up concrete debris before it hardens.
