What would life be like for you if you lost a finger or lost your eyesight? ! Injuries due to cutting are often to the eyes or the hands. Always cut with the proper tool and the proper personal protective equipment to protect the head, eyes and hands. Prevention Points Training is important before using any cutting machines or tools. Review the General Health & Safety Best Practices section on page 11 before performing any task. Cutting blades should be secured before starting. Make sure cutting blades are sharp and in good working condition. Ensure the blade is cutting straight and does not bend during operation. Secure materials tightly before cutting. Store all cutting devices in a safe and secure location.
