Strategic Objective Provide world-class OHS prevention and safety expertise 1 4  | Workplace Safety & Prevention Services Be known and sought out as the leading sector expert for workplace harm prevention and safety outcomes. STRATEGIES: ➜ For highest-risk* businesses with high-vulnerability workers: deepen knowledge and expertise and service them with a custom-targeted approach. ➜ For high complexity** businesses: provide direct-contact consulting solutions to address their most complex requirements. RESULTS: ➜ 10% year-over-year growth for engagement of high-risk businesses ➜ 10% year-over-year growth for engagement of complex businesses ➜ 60% repeat customer engagement of complex businesses (as compared to 2021) ➜ Almost 75% of training respondents and over 80% of small business respondents say they increased their health and safety knowledge as a result of taking training with WSPS ➜ To determine top hazards and their root causes in the high-risk food manufacturing industry, manager and worker representatives were engaged in a WSPS-led risk assessment and root cause analysis research project. This initiative resulted in the identification of key strategies for prevention of injuries in this sector. Findings are being woven into the creation of new resources and action plans have been shared with industry contacts and associations. * High risk businesses are those that have high WSIB premium rates. Examples of business activities in this category are agriculture, food and beverage manufacturing, and selected wholesalers ** Complex businesses are those that have engaged in direct consulting solutions to address their unique requirements
