Mike Lanigan

To Mike, job satisfaction comes from "seeing workers beam with joy because an ergonomics risk assessment has led to control measures that have alleviated the pain or discomfort workers were experiencing."

Mike provides a wide range of ergonomics services to companies in Eastern Ontario to help them eliminate musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including risk assessments, physical/cognitive demands analysis and training on such topics as Office Ergonomics, Manual Material Handling, Implementing an MSD Prevention Program and Assessing and Controlling MSD Hazards. He also assists with the design of production lines and products.

Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo and an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from Algonquin College. He is a member of both the Ontario Kinesiology Association (OKA) and the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE).

Being able to assist and educate employers, supervisors and workers in the prevention of MSDs is what interests Mike, and continues to motivate him.
