They: Can help ensure that the equipment and tools used are designed for most people, reducing the risk of injuries. Include features that make the work easier, such as good castors and adjustable handles. Will consider equipment suitable for the work environment. For example, castors or larger wheels for uneven terrain give workers a mechanical advantage, making it easier to move and more productive. Training Mechanical stress is recognized as a principal cause of back pain, which is why so much importance is placed on teaching safe lifting techniques. After all, MMH remains a physical activity that requires motor learning and practice. Any MMH training must focus on working with participants to "encode" those movements into their bodies by training them on several techniques and how to apply principles and update them in different work environments. Practical training is essential while increasing the difficulty level until it reaches limits. Train your supervisors to observe and coach workers so techniques are continuously taught and reinforced.
