When connecting hoses together, always use the male
connector on the pressurized side of the hose.
Consider mounting hoses to fixed structures with a retractable
mechanism; this makes the hose lighter to handle and will
ensure they are recoiled properly after use.
Leaky connections should be fixed immediately to avoid
slippery surfaces, algae growth and water wastage.
