Equipment Hazards
?

with powered hedge shears?

engine, maintain your balance and stay focused on what
you are doing.
Prevention Points
These tools can cause small objects to fly up into your face. Take
the necessary precautions to do the job safely and consider these
prevention tips:
Review the General Health & Safety Best Practices section
on page 11 before performing any task.
Firmly grip handles with both hands when cutting and
never overreach.
Avoid contact with electrical sources, overhead lines.
Smooth motions are preferred over jerky movements.
Avoid using the equipment while standing on a ladder.
Operators should never operate the equipment above
shoulder level; doing so causes the operator to have less
control of their equipment.
