Use these 6 conversation starters to determine if they got the training they need to stay safe. If your teen doesn't have the answers, support them in asking these questions the next time they clock in. Your teen just finished their first shift at their new job! Besides meeting their coworkers, health and safety should be one of their earliest assignments. Was health and safety discussed during your orientation? ? Were you trained on how to wear or use any safety equipment or PPE? (a uniform, gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc.) ? Did you get an employee handbook? What's in it? ? Will you be using any tools or machinery? Were you trained on how to safely use it? ? Where is the first aid kit stored? ?
