Use carts or other devices to move heavy items. Push carts instead of pulling. Avoid overloading the cart and blocking your view. Before use, check that carts are in good condition without damage, wheels should be free of buildup and roll smoothly. 6. Use lifting devices that are available, such as hoists or lift tables, to avoid heavy lifting from floor level. Try to reduce the weight of materials to be lifted, such as by unpacking large boxes, where possible. 4. Avoid lifting from the floor or overhead. Try to store heavier and frequently used items between thigh and chest level. 4 5 6
