Inspections ensure that a visual check is completed on the machine in order to ensure that it is in good working order condition. ITEMS TO BE INSPECTED YES NO N/A COMMENTS 1 Are guards in place over in-running nip hazards? 2 Are end cap guards in place over rotating pieces? 3 Are all other guards in place (i.e. transmission, pulleys, under conveyors, sides of conveyors)? 4 Are workers using designated walkways, walk over bridges, etc. to get around conveyors (no walking on or ducking under conveyors)? 5 Are the belts in good condition (no rips, protruding parts), belts centered and good tension? 6 E-stops are within easy reach of operators, and pull cords (if applicable) have good tension? Do workers know the location of these devices and when and how to use them?
