To help reduce the risk of mental harm, she suggests evaluating, and if necessary, redesigning the way people are managed and work is organized. She also emphasizes that unresolved conflict in the workplace can be very detrimental to workers mental health. Leaders should hold themselves to a high standard and hold others accountable for disrespectful and uncivil behaviour. This will create a culture of psychological protection where workers are comfortable reporting concerns without fear of reprisal.
