Traumatic Fatalities in WSPS
Sectors
Traumatic fatalities in the agricultural
sector increased from 3 in 2011 to 15 in
2012. This is largely due to an increase
in motor vehicle related fatalities.
WSPS Lost Time Injuries by
Priority Hazard
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and
falls continue to result in a significant
portion of lost time injuries (LTIs).
While motor vehicle incidents (MVIs)
account for 1% of LTIs, they lead to a
disproportionate number of traumatic
fatalities and serious injuries.
