Workplace Safety & Prevention Services  | 2 By its very nature, the goal of an annual report is to showcase the past. However, as 2017 represents the home stretch of a three-year strategic plan that began in 2014, it is important to view the year as not only the culmination of our efforts and accomplishments, but as a springboard into the future. Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) has come a long way since our inception in 2010, when the Industrial Accident Prevention Association, Ontario Service Safety Alliance and Farm Safety Association merged to form Ontario's largest health and safety association. Today, we serve 167,000 member firms and 4.1 million workers in the province's manufacturing, agricultural and service sectors. In terms of achieving our objectives, 2017 was a very successful year and it was also a year of transition. The nature of work is changing at an ever-accelerating pace and new areas of health, safety and wellness are constantly emerging. The stories in this report show how we are adapting to change and collaborating with our prevention system, community, strategic and industry partners to keep people healthy and safe. They include initiatives from the past year that will have a lasting impact as we move forward. LYNN BROWNELL President and CEO GEORGE J. R. MCCLEAN Board Chair Message from the Board Chair and President & CEO TOMORROW TOGETHER
