OHSA gives gives government powers to make Regulations under the Act
• Regulations set out the minimum control of common hazards
• Regulations are specific to each sector, and to specific hazards

• Ensures products have the same characteristics, performance, definitions and
terms, and are tested the same way
• Ensures training has same content, objectives and goals
