Fred H. Burke is an accomplished c-suite executive having over 30 years of experience within large and mid-sized private and public companies, primarily in consumer-packaged goods and steel and mining industry. He has had extensive involvement with private equity backed companies, overseeing the completion of mergers, acquisitions, major refinancing or restructuring transactions.
He currently provides executive finance and operations consulting services to several private manufacturing companies. Fred has also served as a director and officer on a number of public, private and not for profit external boards. In addition to serving currently on WSPS board of directors, Fred is a member of the board of advisors for LaRocca Bakeries and Tradition Fine Foods. Since 2016 he has served on the Quality committee for St. Joseph's Hospital board of directors. Up to June 2017 he was a long serving executive board member for the Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario and CPA joint committee for the past 2 years a member of CPA's annual conference planning committee. He is a past president of the Financial Executives International (FEI) Toronto Chapter and has served on the Canadian Counsel for Small Business Enterprises (CCSBE) and CFO Canada Advisory Board.
Fred received his professional director's certification (ICD.D) March 2014, has an Honors B Commerce degree from McMaster University, professional accounting designation and was awarded life membership and CGA/CPA fellowship designations.
