Prevent COVID at Work Mobile App Privacy Policy

In this Privacy Policy (the "Policy"), Workplace Safety & Prevention Services., with offices at 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L4W 0A1, Canada ("WSPS", "we" or "us"), describes how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process the Personal Information of individuals who access and use the Prevent COVID at Work mobile application ("Mobile App"). We use the term "Personal Information" to mean information about an identified or identifiable individual.

By accepting the Terms and Conditions, and upon downloading and using the Mobile App, you consent to us processing your Personal Information as described in this Policy. If you do not consent to us processing your information as described in this Policy, please do not download and use our Mobile App.

Information Collected by the Mobile App

The Mobile App does not require users to provide their contact information (such as name, address, phone number, and e-mail address) in using the application. However, we may collect some other information, such as unique device identifiers or aggregated and anonymized information, such as device information (brand, category, model, OS version, upgrades), and application information (installations, updates, uninstallations), which enable us to track Mobile App downloads and usage, so that we may maintain and improve the Mobile App.

To the extent that you wish to share the Mobile App or its contents with your phone contacts, you may also consent to allow the Mobile App to access your contacts list in order for you to share the Mobile App.

Use of Information Collected by the Mobile App

We may use the information collected within the Mobile App as permitted by law, and in order to operate, maintain, and improve the Mobile App. We may use non-identifying and aggregated information about the Mobile Application for reporting and analytics purposes: to ensure that the Mobile app is functioning for the users who have downloaded it, understand the adoption of the Mobile App, and to support the consistent and effective use of the application.

We use industry standards for protection of the information we collect and use appropriate security safeguards. We will keep the information collected by the Mobile App for a period of time as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the information was originally collected, or as may be necessary pursuant to applicable law.

Sharing of Your Information

We may share information collected by the Mobile App as permitted by law, and in the following circumstances: (i) we may share your information with service providers (such as Google Firebase Analytics), as may be necessary for them to provide services to us to assist with data analytics, and other activities related to the Mobile App, (ii) we may share information collected for legal reasons, as may be appropriate in order to comply with applicable law, jurisdictional process, court order, or other legal requests, and (iii) to establish and exercise our rights, defend against any legal claims, or prevent or take legal actions against possible illegal activities or violations of our policies.

Some of our service providers may be located outside of Canada, and the information collected by the Mobile App may be shared with service providers located in the United States. While your information is in another jurisdiction, it may be accessed by the courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities of that jurisdiction.

Your Rights

You have certain rights with respect to your Personal Information, including (i) the right to access any Personal Information that we hold about you; (ii) correct, update, and amend any Personal Information that we hold about you, and (iii) withdraw your consent, so that we no longer process Personal Information in ways that you previously consented to.

Updates to Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our information processing and collection practices. When we amend this Policy, we will update the date at the beginning of the Policy. We will also provide you with notice of changes and obtain your consent to any such changes where and as required by applicable law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically for the latest information on our practices.
