According the Ministry of Labour (MOL), new and young workers in Ontario are three times more likely to be injured during their first month on the job than at any other time.
To raise awareness and increase compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations, the MOL will conduct a province-wide inspection initiative that will focus on new and young workers. The initiative will run from July 15 - August 30, 2019 and will focus on workplaces within the industrial sector.
Hosted by WSPS and the MOL, this complimentary awareness webinar helps workplaces get ready for the initiative, learn more about keeping new and young workers safe and gain access to resource links.
