Offering content that has been modified to suit the various situations employees may find themselves in while temporarily displaced. From sitting at the kitchen table to working on the couch, the ergonomist will provide information and advice for those that find themselves working from home with the goal of improving comfort and productivity.
The awareness session is approximately 60 min in length it covers a brief introduction to MSD hazards, reviewing workstation setup guidelines, providing tips for adjustments and other information that is pertinent to the situation (laptop use, temporary workstation, etc.).
The awareness session will provide:
- An introduction to MSD hazards
- A review of workstation setup guidelines
- Provide suggestions on adjusting the components of their workstation and to assist with comfort and productivity, optimizing workstation setup were possible
- Education on work habits
- Temporary / make shift solutions may be offered in order to best make use of the home office environment and the resources available
Upon completion, the participant will be able to
Understand how to set-up their temporary work station.
This course is delivered in a virtual setting.
Virtual Training is currently available in English only.
Participant requirements for virtual include a webcam, capable hardware, software & internet. Virtual sessions will be delivered using the Adobe Connect platform, supported on all major web browsers, tablets and cell phones.
