Description
Workplace Violence and Harassment is a significant problem in Ontario. Workers may face violence and harassment in any workplace and from anyone. Not only must employers, supervisors and workers be able to recognize these unwanted behaviours but they also must know their duties and responsibilities with respect to workplace violence and workplace harassment under the OHSA.
This 20 minute complimentary awareness e course will introduce the topic of workplace violence and harassment and explain its impact on the workplace.
Topics include
- Discuss the impact of workplace violence and harassment on the recipient, the perpetrator and the workplace.
- Workplace violence, examples, and duties and responsibilities of workplace parties when it comes to workplace violence.
- Workplace harassment, examples and duties of the employer when it comes to workplace harassment. Also discuss underlying workplace factors that contribute to a safe and healthy workplace.
- Resources for additional information on workplace violence and harassment.
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to
Have a high level understanding on workplace violence and harassment and how it impacts the worker and their workplace.
