EVENT LISTING: Superior Partners in Prevention 2017 Regional Health & Safety Conference

Release Date:  Mar 23, 2017

March 23, 2017 - Partners in Prevention 2017 Regional Health and Safety Conference returns to Sault Ste. Marie on May 10 and 11, 2017. Running for more than 20 years this popular event focuses on the unique safety needs of local businesses and provides delegates with a series of dynamic educational sessions and interactive exhibits that showcase the latest trends in health and safety products and services.

May 10-11, 2017
Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Two of this year's keynote speakers will share their own personal stories of triumph to inspire delegates to advocate for healthy and safe workplaces that protect workers' mental health.

Clint Malarchuk, Author and Retired National Hockey League Goaltender - Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): A Normal Response to an Abnormal Event.

Though he played for 11 seasons in the NHL, Clint Malarchuk's name is forever linked to a night in 1989 at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, where he nearly lost his life on the ice. While frightening situations happen to everyone at some point, trauma is often unexpected and can result in PTSD. Clint will share how with support, people can recover from PTSD and the effects of trauma. An open Q&A and book signing will follow his address.

Mike Scott, Motivational Speaker - Finding the Warrior Within: Moving Forward & Making Positive Changes.

By the time he was 15 years old, Mike Scott's life was spiraling out of control.  Addicted to drugs and alcohol as teenager, by his early 20s he was on the brink of death. Separated from his family by Child and Family Services and put in foster care, he got caught up in a life of theft, drugs, and violence. But Mike triumphed. Today Mike is sober and sharing his message of hope. Mike now inspires people to move forward and make positive changes in their lives.

Partners in Prevention takes place May 10 and 11, 2016 at Quattro Hotel & Conference Centre. Conference registration is now open. Participants can choose from two-day, one-day and company pass registrations.
