Hazard Prevention Program Development
This solution provides federally regulated customers with a documented health and safety hazard prevention program that aligns with CLC Part II and the Hazard Prevention Program requirements outlined in Part XIX of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

MSD Prevention/Ergonomics Program Development
The key to reducing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in your workplace is having an ergonomics program that’s integrated into your health and safety system. Our ergonomists will help ensure you have the activities and controls in place to address MSD hazards based on your needs and objectives, and conditions in your workplace. This service aligns with the CLC Part II, federal Hazard Prevention Program requirements, and MSD Prevention best practices.

Work Place Violence Prevention Program Development
A documented violence prevention program ensures your workplace is taking the right measures to reduce the risks of violence, protect employees, and provide recourse for employees subjected to violence. We’ll review your existing program, conduct a violence risk assessment and develop a model program that you can implement across all work locations. This service aligns with CLC Part II and Part XX of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

Safe Work Practices Development
Completed your hazard identification and risk assessment and ready for the next step? Our consultants will use the results of your assessment to develop documented safe work practices for high risk tasks. These practices follow a clear and concise format and provide your employees with guidelines for working safely and minimizing the risk of injury.

Confined Space Program Development
After reviewing your existing program, your workplace and your confined space inventory, our consultants will help you develop a model confined space program and supporting procedures, including hazard assessment, entry procedures, entry permit system, rescue procedures and worker training requirements. This service aligns with Part XI of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.

Assessments

Our consulting solutions support customers with hazard identification, risk analysis and control verification and validation activities. In addition to the assessments outlined below, WSPS’s technical consulting team provides a full complement of detailed risk analysis services. Contact us for more details.

Office Ergonomic Assessments
If your employees are showing signs and symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), this solution is for you. Our ergonomic specialists will carry out a detailed assessment to evaluate workstation design and layout for potential hazards and make recommendations to reduce and/or eliminate hazards. WSPS is an Approved Vendor under the National Master Standing Offer – E60ZQ-140001. To initiate an assessment, simply complete this online form and we’ll get back to you within two business days.

Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment
Get a better understanding of the hazards in your workplace and how to manage them. Our consultants will work with your employees to carry out hazard identification and preliminary risk analysis. This service aligns with Part XIX of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Hazard Prevention Program requirements and supports Occupational health and safety – Hazard identification and elimination and risk assessment and control (CSA Z1002-12).

Detailed Job Task Analysis
Zero in on hazards related to tasks that are high risk or result in repeated injuries and/or illness. We’ll provide a documented list of hazards associated with job tasks and make recommendations on ways to eliminate or control them.

Confined Space Assessments
Our consultants will confirm which of your work spaces meet the legal definition of a confined space and provide you with a documented confined spaces program, space-specific assessments of actual and foreseeable hazards, and detailed entry plans. This service aligns with Canada Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Part XI and supports CSA Z1006-16 Management of Work in Confined Spaces.

Workplace Violence Risk Assessment
Violence in the workplace is a highly complex issue. This assessment will help identify the potential for violence based on the nature of your workplace, the type of work conducted and/or work conditions. We’ll help you to identify risk factors using tools such as employee surveys, physical site assessments, and violence risk factor analysis.

Audits/GAP Analysis

Our highly qualified consultants work with you to determine if your current Hazard Prevention Program is aligned to Part XIX of the Canada Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
